Dress Code

The school uniform is optional for Pre-K students.  All students in the Pre-K program are required to be completely out of diapers and training pants by the first day of school.  Persistent “accidents” will result in the child’s removal from the program. 

The following items are not permitted:  hair coloring/tinting, make-up, nail polish, lip gloss, artificial nails, novelty and/or conspicuous jewelery (“conspicuous” will be defined by the principal), large and/or dangling earrings (only stud and 1/2 inch hoop earrings are permitted), inappropriate fads (“inappropriate” will be defined by the principal), extreme/trendy hairdos (“extreme/trendy” will be defined by the principal), bandanas, halter tops, tank tops, small strap tops, mid-drifts, short shorts.

When students are given permission to be out of uniform, they must dress in a manner keeping with Catholic school decorum.  Parents whose child is inappropriately dressed will be called to bring suitable clothing or take the child home.

The gym uniform must be worn during the school day on the child’s designated gym day.

Shoes for boys and girls: 

All black leather or imitation leather dress shoes, rubber sole, non skid only, tied or buckle.  No high tops or boots.  All-Black sneakers may also be worn. 

Girls’ uniform: 

Sweater – red monogrammed (cardigan or pullover)
Blouse –          

     All white plain peter pan collar (K-4)

     All white plain oxford shirt (5-8) or

     All white plain golf shirt (5-8) or

     All white turtleneck (K-8)

Pants (optional) – black uniform pants (not tight and no bell-bottoms)
Plaid shorts (optional)
Plaid jumper – K-4
Plaid skirt – 5-8 (must be nearly knee-length)
Socks – all white calf or knee-high socks (no “footies”)
Tights or leggings – all black

 Note:  If a t-shirt is worn under the blouse it must be solid white.

Boys’ uniform:

Sweater – red monogrammed (cardigan or pullover)
Shirt –

     All white plain oxford shirt or

     All white plain golf shirt

     All white turtleneck (k-8)

Slacks – black
Shorts – optional – black
Belt – black
Sock – black or white

Note:  If a t-shirt is worn under the shirt it must be solid white.

 
Gym uniform for boys and girls:

Sweatshirt – red monogrammed                       
Tee shirt – yellow monogrammed
Sweatpants – red monogrammed                     
Shorts – red monogrammed (mesh or sweatshorts) 
Sneakers and white socks – sneakers only to be worn on gym day

CYO uniforms may not be used for PE.
